Japanese development studio Compile Heart have shared the new opening sequence being used for Date A Live Twin Edition: Rio Reincarnation on the PlayStation Vita. This will be the visual novel franchise’s first release on the PlayStation Vita, previously being a PlayStation 3 exclusive franchise.
As its title may imply, Date a Live Twin Edition: Rio Reincarnation features both titles which have previously been published on the PlayStation 3: Date A Live: Rinne Utopia and Date A Live: Ars Install. This collection also features a new “Rio Reincarnation” chapter. It is set to be available in Japan from late-June 2015.
No Date a Live visual novels have been released internationally at this time, however other Compile Heart VN’s such as Hakuoki. Therefore, I wouldn’t be so quick to rule out a potential international localization at some point. Those looking for a taste of Date a Live can purchase the first anime season right now, with the second available through select video-on-demand services.
