After already publishing the sandbox / puzzle game on the PC and Xbox One, Team17 and Mouldy Toof have confirmed that they will be bringing The Escapists to the PlayStation 4.
Delivered in a 16-bit sprite-based art style, The Escapist see’s you use your creativity and stubbornness to come up with a way to successfully escape from one of several prisons. Escaping requires you to follow a strict prison schedule while performing favours for fellow inmates, obtaining resources and eventually conducting the escape. There are a total of six prisons to escape from (with varying degrees of difficulty) and six different methods to bust your way out of the slammer – from tunneling out to implementing a prison take over.
The Escapists on the PlayStation 4 does not yet have a release date, but expect to see it land on the PlayStation Store later this year. Check out my review of The Escapists (PC) HERE.
