When I reviewed the English localized release of Toukiden: Age of Demons back in February I gave the game a C+ grade, claiming despite its rather average score:
At its core, Toukiden: The Age of Demons is a solid video game venture that could have a lot of potential to grow if Omega Force decides to branch out this new IP into a full-blown franchise“ despite its average score
It turns out that Tecmo Koei and Omega Force have agreed with my statement, with this weeks issue of Famitsu confirming that Tecmo Koei are planning to publish Toukiden Kyoku on the PlayStation Vita and PlayStation Portable later this year.
Toukiden Kyoku isn’t a completely new title but instead an enhanced edition of Toukiden: Age of Demons. It will feature a brand new demon known as Imihayashi that appears three months after the events of the first conclude (Assumingly some sort of extra chapter). There will also be all the other mod cons you would expect such as new NPCs, weapons, armour, demons and more.
Keep an eye on The Otaku’s Study for more information in the coming months.
