While this seems to translate into there being no August release slate from the company, Australian anime publisher Hanabee Entertainment have plans to release their second anime release slate for the month tomorrow. Continuing with a stellar release slate from the last couple of months which saw two of their titles (anohana – July Release and Dusk Maiden of Amnesia – June Release) walk away with coveted S-grades, Hanabee brings the Blu-ray edition of Bakemonogatari (Part 1) to market as well as two new titles.
More information on these titles are below:
Bakemonogatari: Part 1/2
Blu-ray | $49.99 | MA15+
It happened with a slip.
Koyomi Araragi thought he was done with the supernatural after his recent brush with vampires but that belief is short lived when Senjyogahara, the aloof girl in school, is as light as a feather. The cause? A crab God with a penchant for the vulnerable. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg as she’s not the only individual suffering from the effects with their brush with the paranormal.
A lost snail who can’t find their way home no matter how hard they try, and a mysterious deadly arm that can only bring misery despite how hard one wishes. The forever ‘Mr. Nice Guy’ Koyomi, can’t help but embroil himself into their lives to fix their problems with the aid of Meme Oshino, an expert on these matters.
Unfortunately going from their product artwork the company were unable to retain the book style packaging of the DVD release. This release will however contain the special features such as character commentary, TV spots and clean opening and ending animations.
Daily Lives of High School Boys
DVD | $59.99 | M
High school life has never seemed so strange when it’s been so average.
Welcome to the daily lives of Tadakuni, Hidenori and Yoshitake, students at the all-boys academy of Sanada North High School!
Here in this story you will not find any world revolutions, a teenaged hero in crisis, a star crossed love story or giant fighting robots…well, not in reality anyway. (In the mind of an average teenage boy however, the possibilities are endless.) Instead take a step back and embrace the wild fun teenage life has to offer over trivial pursuits and inane thoughts (just who exactly is the better looking one in the group?) and in the knowledge that sometimes reality can be stranger than fiction.
Jokes and laughs are abound as your average high school life is brought to larger than life clarity in Daily Lives of High School Boys.
