Enjoyed Hanabee Entertainment’s two part release of Bakemonogatari and anxious in checking out the companies next offering in SHAFT’s anime adaptation of the light novel series by Nisio Isin? Well unfortunately while it was due for release this week, Nisemonogatari Part 1 has now been delayed until late next week for release (Just how late is unspecified ). It is unknown yet if these delays will result in a delay of Part 2 being released in June 2013.
Who says a fake can’t do the same job as the real thing? Koyomi Araragi’s brush with the strange and supernatural continues in Nisemonogatari, but this time it may hit a little closer to home. There’s been a rash of curses running through the local middle school, so Karen and Tsukihi Araragi – the ‘Fire Sisters’- are hunting the culprit.
The source of the problem, however, might turn out to be a figure from Senjyogahara’s past: Deishu Kaiki. Kaiki is a con-man, always chasing a quick buck no matter who his victims are. Be careful not to underestimate this slime-ball though, because curses sold by an impostor might turn out to be just as deadly as the real thing!
Part 1 is set to include the first eight episodes of the season, and is currently only available as a DVD release at this moment (A Blu-ray release has pretty much been confirmed). It will also come with one of their interesting “book” slipcases featuring artwork, character bios and other information on the characters/events taking part during the collection.
