Players can now get to work saving planets in virtual reality. Swedish studio Really Interactive has released Terry’s Terraforming on Meta Quest 3 and 3S, priced at $14.99, €13.99, £11.99 or your local equivalent.
Terry’s Terraforming casts players as a new recruit at a galaxy-spanning terraforming company, tasked with bringing dying planets back to life. Using their hands and a range of company gadgets, players warm up climates, grow forests and reshape worlds so that their unusual alien residents can thrive, all while keeping the company’s shareholders satisfied.
Each species needs something different, so players have to experiment, observe and work out what every planet requires. A feature called Terry’s Sweetview lets players jump straight down to a planet’s surface to see the results up close.
The narrative adventure runs for around four to six hours and introduces a cast of quirky aliens along the way. Beyond the story, there are daily challenges with global leaderboards, and players can create and share their own challenges. The game also supports hand tracking.
