Nintendo Switch 2 owners can start hunting in the Forbidden Lands ahead of launch. Capcom has released a free Prologue Demo for Monster Hunter Wilds on the console.
The demo covers the full opening of the game, starting with the character creator, where players can design their own Hunter and Palico companion. From there, players can get a look at the story and take on monsters in the Windward Plains. All progress made in the demo will carry over to the full game. The demo cannot be played online, but players can still team up for multiplayer using wireless local play between Nintendo Switch 2 consoles.
The Switch 2 version will launch with all of the game’s Title Update content already included. That means the Grand Hub, additional monsters such as Mizutsune, Lagiacrus, Seregios and the elder dragon Gogmazios, the FINAL FANTASY XIV Online collaboration, extra challenges and more. Cross-play is also supported, allowing Switch 2 players to hunt online alongside players on other platforms.
The Monster Hunter Wilds Deluxe Edition is available to pre-order through retailers. It includes the base game and the Deluxe Pack cosmetic items, with the Guild Knight Set layered armour and the Hope Charm talisman included as pre-order bonuses.
