A familiar foe has resurfaced in World of Warcraft: Midnight. Kith’ix, the C’Thraxxi general long thought to have been defeated, returns in content update 12.1.5, which is live now and picks up after the fall of Ula’tek in Curse of Ula’tek (12.1).
Kith’ix is the focus of the update’s new raid, The Unbinding of Kith’ix. Rather than a multi-boss wing, it is built around a single encounter, set in a hidden chamber beneath the venomous abyss that has only now been unsealed. Players can take on the freed general in Story Mode, Normal, Heroic or Flexible Mythic difficulty.
The larger structural change arrives through Labyrinths, a new delve feature that debuts with the Labyrinth of Kindo’jan. Described as the game’s first “mega-delve”, it is an ancient Amani funeral complex that had been sealed for centuries. Its reopening has drawn looters and the Vilebranch, who are searching it for relics, while the spirits buried there defend it with deadly force. Players head in alongside their delve companion Valeera, and the Labyrinth comes with its own progression systems, unlocks and rewards scaled to the challenge, including Mythic gear.
Outside of instanced content, Aqir Invasions add zone-wide public events to Eversong and Zul’Aman. For ten minutes each hour, players work through a chain of public events across the zone, one after another, before the sequence ends in a boss fight. For Mythic+ players at the top end, Keystone Myth returns. The rank rewards those who reach a score of 3600 for the season.
