Lostbound is now available on PC via Steam, bringing a survival challenge in which exploring the world also puts your escape routes at risk. Developed by Tenkarider and published by Tambù Digital, the roguelite follows players through a shifting landscape pursued by a destructive force known as The Hand.
The central complication is that familiar ground cannot be relied upon to remain safe. Every movement leaves a lasting mark, and repeatedly crossing the same terrain can prompt The Hand to consume it. As paths disappear, players have fewer options for navigating the world and getting away from their pursuer.
That gives route planning a role beyond simply finding the next destination. A detour towards an artifact or an unexplored dungeon might offer something useful for the journey ahead, but it also needs to be weighed against the risk of losing a way out. Keeping moving is necessary, though choosing where to move matters just as much. Dungeons introduce another pressure: time. They contain powerful artifacts that can help shape a run, encouraging players to venture further in search of useful combinations of tools and abilities.
Randomly generated worlds and artifact placements change the available routes and potential builds between attempts. Players can experiment with different combinations while learning how to manage the pursuit, rather than depending on one familiar path through successive runs. The result aims to present a mix of retro-inspired exploration and roguelite progression built around a shrinking margin for escape.
