Bubble Laboratory, in collaboration with Ethan Walker and the Coliseum Theatre, has announced that The Big Bubble Show… In Space! will be held at the Western Sydney venue for a limited engagement this July. The production is scheduled for two performances only on 15 July 2026 the very tail end of the NSW school holidays calendar, and is set to feature a variety of soap-based visual effects designed around a cosmic theme.
The performance features Dr Bubble and Milkshake, who utilise different techniques to create bubble rockets, smoke-filled spheres, and shadow bubble puppetry. The show is also set to incorporate more complex displays such as fire bubbles, a bubble fire tornado, and geometric constructions like square bubbles. Other technical elements mentioned in the program include bubble screens and large-scale bubble tubes designed to span the stage area.
Tickets for the event start at $29.90 plus booking fees. Early bird presales have opened today, 4 May 2026, with the general public allocation becoming available on Thursday 7 May 2026 at 10:00am through the Coliseum Theatre website.
