Wright Flyer Studios has announced that its upcoming time-traveling JRPG, Another Eden Begins, is scheduled to launch on 17 September 2026 – both on PC and the Nintendo Switch.
The title is being developed by Studio Prisma and features a creative team led by veteran director Masato Kato (Chrono Trigger and Xenogears). The musical score involves contributions from composer Yasunori Mitsuda alongside folk-inspired orchestration by Procyon Studio.
Another Eden Begins follows the protagonist Aldo as he journeys through various eras to rescue his sister, Feinne, from a hostile force. Players can build a party from a roster of over 18 companions, each with specific ally quests that lead to deeper kinship stories. Unlike its predecessor, Another Eden: The Cat Beyond Time and Space, this entry will feature full English voiceovers for the duration of the main narrative.
Gameplay consists of strategic turn-based encounters where character roles and party synergies are central to success. Players can also utilize a mechanic called Another Force to execute a series of consecutive attacks during combat. Upon completing the game, a New Game+ mode will be available, offering ten different endings and the introduction of a previously unseen character.
Shinnosuke Hirasawa, the Head of Studio Prisma, shared his thoughts on how this new project enhances the existing world of the franchise while continuing his collaboration with Masato Kato:
Another Eden continues to be an extraordinary journey, and Another Eden Begins offers a new way to experience that world with enhanced visuals and English voiceovers. Working with Masato Kato is always pleasant, as we prepare the world for yet another emotional tale across time and space!
