The psychic action manga Psyren is set to receive a television anime adaptation starting in October 2026. Announced by REMOW, the project aims to adapt the entire story from Toshiaki Iwashiro’s original work, which concluded its run in Weekly Shonen Jump roughly 15 years ago.
Psyren follows Ageha Yoshina, a high schooler who lives with his older sister and possesses a strong sense of justice despite a tendency to get into fights. His life changes when he finds a red phone card that links him to a secret organization known as Psyren and the sudden disappearance of his childhood friend, the “Ice Queen” Sakurako Amamiya. This leads Ageha into a dangerous game that will dictate his future.
A new teaser visual released with the announcement showcases the five primary characters. Rikuya Yasuda voices the protagonist Ageha, while Mayuko Kazama has been cast as Sakurako. They are joined by Shunsuke Takeuchi as the powerful yet considerate Hiryu Asaga, Soma Saito as the excitement-seeking actor Oboro Mochizuki, and Yukihiro Nozuyama as the opportunistic Kabuto Kirisaki.
The series is being produced by studio SATELIGHT, with Katsumi Ono serving as director and Shin Yoshida managing series composition. The character designs are being provided by Akira Okuma, and the musical score features contributions from Takashi Ohmama, Tatsuhiko Saiki, and Shu Kanematsu.
More information on broadcast availability is set to be shared in the lead-up to its premiere in October.
