The next major content update for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Call of Duty: Warzone is scheduled to launch on 3 April 2026. This third season introduces a variety of additions across all primary game modes, including nine maps for multiplayer, a dedicated survival location for Zombies, and a significant update to the Verdansk environment in Warzone.
In Warzone, the southern hills of the Verdansk map have seen the completion of the Launch Pad, a new point of interest that is expected to become a primary drop location. Players will also see the Avalon map enter the big map rotation later in the season, which will include the introduction of multiple Gulag environments. New movement mechanics such as the Wall Jump and Grapple Hook are being added to the Battle Royale and Resurgence modes, alongside a Flashpoint public event involving a missile launch.
Multiplayer fans will receive five maps at the start of the season. These include new locations named Beacon and Abyss, the Mission: Trident skirmish map, and remastered versions of Plaza and Gridlock. The mid-season update will further expand the pool with the Onsen map and remasters of Summit and Hacienda. The classic Demolition mode will also make its debut in Black Ops 7 at launch, followed by the parkour-focused Freerun mode later in the season.
The Zombies experience expands with the Ashwood Survival map, set within the central grounds of Ashes of the Damned. This season also introduces Zombie Battle, a competitive free-for-all mode where players must survive while disrupting their opponents. For those following the narrative, Directed Mode is being added to Paradox Junction to assist with the Main Quest. A new round-based map called Totenreich is planned for the mid-season update.
The tactical arsenal is being updated with the Ion Core Scorestreak, which emits radioactive pulses to damage enemies through walls. Six new weapons are also being introduced, including the MK35 ISR Assault Rifle and VST SMG available via the Battle Pass. Other additions like the Strider 300 Sniper Rifle and the 1911 Pistol will be accessible through weekly challenges.
Additionally, the standalone Endgame mode will become free-to-play for a limited time starting with the Season 03 launch. This transition includes the introduction of Operations, beginning with Operation Poison Pill, which provides a structured tactical framework for missions on Avalon. Players in this mode can also access the new Warband Skill Track, allowing them to summon attack drones or use the Aether Blade ability.
