Fumi Games and PlaySide Studios have confirmed that MOUSE: P.I. For Hire will receive a physical retail launch on 10 July 2026. The game is set to be available in two distinct versions, a Standard Edition and a Deluxe Mouseburg Edition, with pre-orders opening at select retailers from now.
The Standard Edition will be released for the PlayStation 5 on a physical disc with a recommended retail price of $69.95 AUD. A version for the Nintendo Switch 2 will also be available on a physical cartridge, priced at $89.95 AUD.
For collectors, the Deluxe Mouseburg Edition offers a more extensive package. This version is priced at $99.95 AUD for PC (containing a Steam code in a box), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X. The Nintendo Switch 2 version of the Deluxe Edition is priced at $109.95 AUD.
The Mouseburg Edition includes several physical bonuses alongside the base game. Notable inclusions are a 7 inch vinyl record featuring four tracks from the official soundtrack by composer Patryk Scelina, including a new track by electro swing group Caravan Palace. It also contains a double-sided poster featuring a map of the city of Mouseburg and a schematic of the protagonist’s “Micer” pistol, as well as a printed comic book with two sticker sheets. Additionally, the box set comes with 33 baseball trading cards based on an in-game minigame and three premium postcards.
Filling the shoes of Private Investigator Jack Pepper, players of MOUSE: P.I. For Hire can expect to navigate a noir-inspired world within the city of Mouseburg, tasked with investigating a series of murders and systemic corruption while contending with local gangs and law enforcement.
