The second season of content for Battlefield 6 and Battlefield REDSEC has commenced with the launch of the Nightfall update. This latest installment introduces several additions to the latest generation of the tactical shooter titles, including a new limited-time mode, expanded equipment options, and a new vehicle.
A significant portion of the update centers on a remixed version of the Hagental Base map. This variant has been altered to feature low-light conditions and darkened corridors, intended to shift the gameplay focus toward stealth and flanking manoeuvres. To navigate these environments, players have been granted access to Night Vision Goggles within their standard loadouts.
The update also expands the available weaponry with two new firearms: the CZ3A1 submachine gun and the VZ. 61 sidearm. Additionally, a dirt bike has been added to the vehicle pool for increased mobility across some of the maps.
For those playing Battlefield REDSEC, the Nightfall content includes a dedicated Gauntlet playlist that incorporates the new darkness modifiers. Alongside the seasonal changes, players on the REDSEC platform are being offered a trial period to experience the all-out warfare modes typically found in the main Battlefield 6 experience.
