Bandai Namco Entertainment has confirmed that the action RPG Tales of Arise is scheduled for release on the Nintendo Switch 2. The title will launch on the new platform on 22 May 2026 as Tales of Arise – Beyond the Dawn Edition.
This specific edition bundles the base game with the “Beyond the Dawn” expansion content. This includes additional quests and various in-game items not found in the original standalone release. Alongside the standard physical release, a Beyond the Dawn Premium Edition is also available for pre-order, which contains a Premium Upgrade Pack and further additional content.
Tales of Arise centres on the conflict between two neighbouring worlds, Rena and Dahna. For three centuries, Rena has held dominion over Dahna, extracting resources and suppressing the population. The plot follows two protagonists from these opposing worlds: Alphen, a masked man with amnesia who cannot feel pain, and Shionne, a woman afflicted with a curse that causes pain to anyone she touches. Together with a supporting cast, they aim to challenge the Renan Lords and liberate Dahna.
Tales of Arise was previously released on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
