Square Enix and developer Tactic Studios have announced that their multiplayer murder mystery title, Killer Inn, is scheduled to enter Early Access next month. Following a period of beta testing conducted last year, the game will be available to players on PC via Steam starting 13 February 2026.
The game is pitched as a multiplayer action experience that places 24 players together within a castle setting. Within the narrative, these participants are invited by an organization known as Astra to compete for riches.
The gameplay loop relies on social deduction and combat, secretly assigning players to one of two opposing teams. ‘Wolves’ are tasked with hunting down other players, while ‘Lambs’ must attempt to survive the night by fighting back or escaping the location. The mechanics encourage players to utilise various weapons, tools, and clues while determining which of their allies might actually be an enemy in disguise.
Moving into the Early Access stage is intended to allow the development team to gather player input and refine the experience before the official full release. Square Enix has confirmed that the title will launch at a specific price point during this phase, costing $14.95 AUD (or €9.99 / USD$9.99 internationally). This price is set to increase once the game leaves Early Access.
