Ize Press, the Korean content imprint of Yen Press, has revealed its first new license of the year. The publisher has confirmed the acquisition of Seven Sundays, a Boys Love (BL) manhwa created by Charyeok. The title is scheduled to be released physically in July 2026.
The upcoming print edition is set to compile the complete story – consisting of twenty two chapters in total – as a two volume set. While the comic was originally created as a vertical scrolling webcomic, that the layout has been adapted into a more book-friendly format. The release will be presented in full colour.
The narrative centres on Taeyang, a firefighter who inadvertently reconnects with his first love, Jiwan. Their relationship ended years prior when Jiwan abruptly ceased contact. The two cross paths again when a rescue operation leads to Taeyang making a television appearance at the station where Jiwan works. Upon their reunion, Taeyang discovers that Jiwan is raising a son who is also named Taeyang. Noting that the child’s age corresponds exactly with the time passed since their breakup, the protagonist pieces the situation together. In an effort to recover lost time, he compels Jiwan to agree to seven dates across seven Sundays.
Seven Sundays sets out to align across a variety of themes, including reunion romance, age gap relationships, and the challenges of single parenthood. The story also addresses darker subjects such as trauma resulting from homophobia and the concept of lavender marriages.
