Pony Canyon and Kyoto Animation has released a new key visual and confirmed the theatrical release date for Sound! Euphonium, The Final Movie Part 1. The film is scheduled to premiere in Japanese theatres on 24 April 2026. International releases of the film have yet to be detailed.
This upcoming release is positioned as the conclusion to the series, which has chronicled the lives of high school students in a concert band for over a decade. The narrative follows on from the events of Sound! Euphonium 3, which was broadcast in 2024.
The newly released key visual features 17 of the main characters. The illustration focuses on performance scenes, highlighting the expressions of the club members and providing detailed renderings of their instruments. Looming in the background of the image is the Century Hall at the Nagoya International Conference Center. This location is significant to the plot as the venue for the National Competition, the ultimate goal for the Kitauji High School Concert Band.
The anime is helmed by Chief Director Tatsuya Ishihara, who has been involved with the franchise for the past ten years, alongside Director Taichi Ogawa. The script has been provided by Jukki Hanada.
