Video game publisher Rising Star Games have recently confirmed the set release date of Deadly Premonition: The Director’s Cut, an enhanced port of their original XBox360 release from several years back. The title is set to be released in the United Kingdom on the 26th April 2013 for the Playstation 3 (and via the Playstation Network) and should be available in other PAL regions around the same time.

For my readers from the UK (These bonuses may be included in other regions to some extent):

From now through to its UK release date, fans who pre-order the highly anticipated title (from participating retailers) will receive exclusive downloadable content. Participating retailers across the UK include GAME, Amazon, and will also include a group of dedicated independent retailers via Advantage Distribution.  In addition, Rising Star Games is excited to be working closely with Sony Entertainment Network on a digital pre-order incentive that will be offered exclusively to Playstation Plus members.

For gamers who have yet to subscribe to PlayStation Plus, Rising Star Games has teamed up with Sony to offer customers a free 30-day trial membership of PlayStation Plus. This will be available on a limited run of Deadly Premonition: The Director’s Cut and is exclusive to boxed retail copies.

The following are some of the new promoted features for the title:

  • New Scenario – Surprising new scenario from the game’s director, Hidetaka “Swery” Suehiro that will please new and hardcore fans
  • HD graphics – Complete graphic overhaul with new HD textures
  • Improved Controls – Reworked control system and a customisable layout allow for an even better combat experience
  • Downloadable content – Expand the mystery beyond the original game and let Agent York (and Zach) live it up in Greenvale
