Nacon and Eden Games have officially announced that the next entry in their racing franchise, Gear.Club Unlimited 3 will be launching on the Nintendo Switch 2 starting 19 February 2026. While the game will debut on Nintendo’s upcoming hardware first, versions for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox are planned for release later in 2026.
This third main instalment in the series introduces a significant shift in setting. While the franchise has roots in European locations, Gear.Club Unlimited 3 invites players to establish the very first Gear.Club in Japan. The narrative structure requires players to travel back and forth between France and Japan, engaging with the automotive cultures of both regions.
The core gameplay loop involves recruiting local drivers and assembling technical teams comprised of engineers and mechanics. The game features over 50 tracks situated across various environments, ranging from the mountainous terrain of Japan to the coastal roads of the Mediterranean. A primary addition to the gameplay mechanics is the new Highway Mode. This feature focuses on high-speed driving, challenging players to navigate dense traffic on Japanese highways at speeds exceeding 300 km/h. This mode emphasizes vehicle control on long straights and tight corners while avoiding collisions with civilian traffic.
Standard features from previous entries return, including a selection of officially licensed vehicles and extensive customization options. Multiplayer support is included, with a local split-screen mode available for two players. This extends to standard races, sprints, duels, and a cooperative option within the new Highway Mode.
