Kwalee and developer Galaxy Grove have released Town to City in Early Access on PC via Steam. This cozy citybuilder invites players to lay out every building, road and garden in a 19th century setting, shaping a town that grows into a bustling city at their own pace.
The Early Access build includes a story-driven campaign with two maps and a sandbox mode featuring five maps. Players can advance through eight city stages, construct six monuments and tackle more than 30 quests.
Town to City also supports both guided and freeform play. You can follow the campaign’s objectives, or settle into sandbox mode to experiment with layouts and economies without pressure, whether that means meticulous decoration or pushing for rapid expansion.
The game’s director, Joost van Dongen, credited community input for helping shape the launch version and set expectations for ongoing updates, sharing:
We’re incredibly excited to release Town to City! The creativity shown by our demo and beta players has been truly inspiring, and with the community’s feedback we’ve made the game even better. I can’t wait to see what players will build when the game is out, and to keep improving it together!
