Nippon Ichi Software America have added another anime license to their repertoire, with their recent announcement of acquiring the rights to “The Everyday Tales of a Cat God”, which anime fans may be more familiar to under the title Nekogami Yaoyorozu or 猫神やおよろず. As with all their other anime releases, the series will first be available as a Premium Edition set – which at a slightly higher price comes with a hardcover artbox, hardcover artbook, mini-episodes and clean opening/ending sequences.
Available as part of a blu-ray set, the set will include all 12 episodes of the TV series and the 13th bonus episode at the price of $64.99. The set is to be available on the 4th June 2013 with no release date yet confirmed for a Standard Edition release.
About the show
Mayu is a cat god, but she is no ordinary god. She has been cast down from the heavens and is now doomed to suffer on Earth…because she just could not stop getting into trouble! One day, she is taken in by the earnest and kind Yuzu, who owns an antiques shop called “Antiques Unlimited.” Yuzu quickly learns that Mayu’s godly level of laziness knows no bounds, as she would rather play video games than turn over a new leaf. The everyday tales of this cat god and her harrowing adventures to the candy shop, a landfill, a beach resort, and more show Mayu and her friends that sometimes, the simplest things in life are the best. There is also Gonta, who is obsessed with Yuzu, but Mayu wanted his role in this summary to be minimal. So there you have it.
