EXNOA, operator of DMM GAMES, and Tookyo Games have announced a special bonus for fans picking up the soon-to-be released SHUTEN ORDER on Steam. Anyone who purchases SHUTEN ORDER‘s standard edition, the Digital Deluxe Edition, or the Steam Ministry Edition during the launch campaign, from 5 September to 19 September 2025 will receive an exclusive digital novel, Before the Murders – case: Manji Fushicho. The novel, supervised by creator Kazutaka Kodaka, acts as a prequel to the game.
Before the Murders is set five years before the events of SHUTEN ORDER and explores the backstory of Manji Fushicho before her rise to Minister of Security. Captured by heretics and subjected to a brutal “awakening test”, Manji’s ordeal and ultimate decision lay the groundwork for her reputation as the “Queen of Heretic Hunting”.
