Sunblink and Sanrio have announced Wheatflour Wonderland, the first major DLC expansion for the acclaimed cozy life sim Hello Kitty Island Adventure. Set to launch on 18 September 2025 for $14.99 USD (or local equivalent) on Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam (free for Apple Arcade subscribers), the expansion is also coming to PlayStation 5.
In this new adventure, a magical accident at Hello Kitty’s cafe opens a portal to Wheatflour Wonderland = a world brimming with enchanted grain fields, vibrant stained-glass castles, mysterious ruins, and hidden secrets. Players join forces with Cogimyun, the wheatflour fairy, who arrives with her own progression system of friendship levels, unlockable quests, unique abilities, and exclusive furniture. New characters Ebi Fry and Cogimyun’s brother, Cogimyon, make their debut as well, each bringing fresh mini-games and themed prizes into the mix.
Players can deepen their bond with Cogimyun over 35 friendship levels to access special quests and rewards, while also customizing their own magic wands to cast spells and transform into a variety of critters or objects. New wands open up additional puzzles and challenges scattered throughout Wheatflour Wonderland. The expansion also introduces new outfits and accessories that allow players to transform into legendary Wheatflour Guardians, as well as 100 hidden Wheathearts to discover and exchange for themed rewards. In addition, the newly introduced Noodle Grass resource lets players craft noodle-inspired dishes like instant ramen and spaghetti with meatballs.
Hello Kitty Island Adventure is available now on Apple Arcade, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The game launches digitally for PlayStation 5 on Tuesday, with physical editions arriving 29 August 2025.
