D3Publisher has lifted the lid on Full Metal Schoolgirl, a new third-person shooter from the team behind Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2. The publisher has confirmed a global digital release for 23 October 2025 across PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC (Steam / Epic Games Store).
Set in a dystopian Japan circa 2089, the game centres on a fully mechanised schoolgirl who storms a 100-storey skyscraper owned by Meternal Jobz, a megacorporation propped up by its zombified cyborg workforce known as the “Working Dead”. Players will climb floor by floor, dismantling undead salarymen, security drones and the company’s ruthless CEO in a quest for personal revenge.
Full Metal Schoolgirl seeks to blends run-and-gun firefights with brawler-style melee, letting players swap between firearms, blades and cybernetic skills for relentless close-quarters mayhem. Each climb through the 100-storey tower plays out differently, as room layouts, traps and enemy spawns reshuffle on every run in true roguelite fashion. The action is broadcast to an in-game livestream, and stylish play earns viewer donations that can be funnelled into permanent weapon and upgrade purchases, creating a feedback loop between crowd-pleasing carnage and character growth.
According to producer Nobuyuki Okajima:
This is a game about rebellion and chaos. It’s a thrilling close-quarters battle experience set in a brutal satire of late-stage capitalism powered by bullets, blades, and the support of your livestream audience.
