Players will traverse three distinct biomes – Pavonia, Gizmopolis, and Astrono – while on the hunt for three sacred Tomes that safeguard the island. Each character brings unique abilities, contributing different strategies to puzzles and encounters throughout the game. Exploration is encouraged, with numerous hidden collectibles including Mickey Mouse Memorabilia, Tokuns, and Glimts scattered across the island.

The game also introduces additional content such as the Mavens of Monoth Time Trials – twelve obstacle courses designed to test players’ platforming skills – and the Mystery of Monoth, a quest involving clues and cases led by Dash Dolphin. New free content has also been added, featuring Scrooge McDuck and a Cave Adventuring Scavenger Hunt side quest, alongside the new Dig! ability and permanent upgrades. This additional content will also be made available in the Nintendo Switch version, which launched back in 2023.
