Australian Cast Announced for Here You Come Again Musical Tour

Date:

Australian audiences are set to experience a slice of musical sunshine next year, as Here You Come Again, the Dolly Parton-inspired comedy musical, prepares to hit stages across the country with an all-Australian cast. The production, which has charmed crowds in both the US and UK, has been specially adapted for local audiences by Fiona Harris and Mike McLeish.

Returning to the sequined boots of Dolly herself is Tricia Paoluccio, who also serves as the show’s co-creator and has earned rave reviews in the role on both sides of the Atlantic. She’ll be joined by Dash Kruck as Kevin, Kellie Rode as Mum, Laura Joy Bunting as Tish, and Bailey Dunnage as Jeremy. The on-stage energy is set to be bolstered by a live band led by musical director Andrew Worboys, with Tina Harris, Luke Herbert, and Ash Murdica ensuring Dolly’s classics are delivered with flair.

The musical itself is the brainchild of two-time Emmy Award winner Bruce Vilanch, director Gabriel Barre, and Tricia Paoluccio. Seeking to blend sharp comedy, genuine warmth, and a jukebox of Dolly Parton’s greatest hits, the story follows how one woman’s love of Dolly helps her navigate life’s twists and turns. Audiences can expect everything from laugh-out-loud moments to heartfelt storytelling, all underpinned by the songs that have made Dolly a global icon.

Producer Liza McLean shared her excitement for the new ensemble, sharing:

We’re so excited to introduce this incredibly talented Australian creative team, ensemble and band, who will bring a fresh and heartfelt energy to this joyous production. With Tricia Paoluccio returning to the role of Dolly and a brilliant local team on board, Here You Come Again is set to delight audiences across the country.

After opening at Melbourne’s Comedy Theatre on 12 July 2025, Here You Come Again will tour to Perth, Sydney, Newcastle, Canberra, and Adelaide, with tickets available through major ticketing platforms. For those looking to immerse themselves in the world of Dolly – and maybe leave the theatre with a tune or two stuck in their heads – this show promises a warm-hearted celebration of music, laughter, and a little bit of rhinestone sparkle. Ticketing information for all seasons can be found on the production’s official Australian website.
