PRM Games has released Hello Stranger, a full-motion video psychological horror-thriller from director Paul Raschid, now available on PC via Steam. Priced at $9.99 USD, with a limited-time 10% launch discount, the game invites players to step into a tense, interactive narrative where every decision could be a matter of life or death.
Hello Stranger centres on Cam, a man whose world exists entirely within the walls of his smart home—work, play, and social life all take place through screens, including the anonymous video chat platform, Hello Stranger. One night, a random chat takes a sinister turn when a masked stranger appears, hacks into Cam’s home, and traps him inside. The only way out: survive three twisted games imposed by the intruder. The outcome is in the hands of the player, with choices determining Cam’s fate across 10 possible endings.
In Hello Stranger, the only constant is uncertainty, and each decision nudges the story in a new direction. Whether you prefer the adrenaline rush of timed choices and quick-thinking mini-games, or the communal feel of paused decisions for group play, the game invites players to uncover all its secrets.
Players can approach the story in two ways: Game Mode, which features interactive mini-games ranging from platformers to survival horror, or Cinema Mode, a streamlined experience closer to an interactive film, ideal for viewers or those preferring a less hands-on approach. With more than four hours of live-action footage and multiple branching paths, Hello Stranger offers a story tree to track progress and encourage replaying to unlock the full narrative.
The cast brings together a number of familiar faces from film and television, including George Blagden, Danny Griffin, Christina Wolfe, Kulvinder Ghir, Laura Whitmore, Yasmin Finney, and Derek Jacobi.
