Following the Sydney and Melbourne legs of its world tour, Les Misérables – The Arena Spectacular will arrive in Brisbane next week for a strictly limited seven-performance season. The production will play at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre from 28 May to 1 June 2025.
The Australian leg of the World Tour, presented by Cameron Mackintosh in association with Nick Grace Management and Live Nation Australia, is part of global celebrations marking the 40th anniversary of Les Misérables, the world’s longest-running musical. The arena staging has already been performed to crowds across the United Kingdom, Europe, and Australia, with future stops planned across Asia and North America.

This version of Les Misérables features a new arena-specific design developed by Matt Kinley, Paule Constable, Warren Letton, and Finn Ross, with sound design by Mick Potter. The production brings together a cast and orchestra of 65, with staging that aims to retain the emotional core of the musical while adapting it for large-scale venues.
Sharing the role of Jean Valjean are Alfie Boe and Killian Donnelly, both known for their previous acclaimed performances in the role. The role of Javert will be performed by Michael Ball and Bradley Jaden. Also in the cast are Matt Lucas as Thénardier, Marina Prior as Madame Thénardier, Rachelle Ann Go as Fantine, Jac Yarrow as Marius, Beatrice Penny-Touré as Cosette, James D. Gish as Enjolras, and Shan Ako as Éponine.

The cast is further supported by an ensemble that includes international and Australian performers, as well as a range of Australian child actors sharing the roles of Gavroche and Little Cosette.
Les Misérables – The Arena Spectacular runs at Brisbane Entertainment Centre from 28 May to 1 June 2025. Tickets are available to purchase via the tour’s official Australian website.
