Developer Peculiar Pixels and publisher Devolver Digital have announced BOTSU, a physics-based multiplayer sports brawler set to launch on PC later in 2025. A free demo is currently available on Steam, giving players an early look at the game’s chaotic take on robotic athleticism – offering about 2-4 hours of gameplay and a level cap of 10.
BOTSU features three competitive modes—Box-Ball, Stockpile, and Sumo Survival—each blending fast-paced action with exaggerated ragdoll physics. Players can take part in matches online or in four-player local split-screen, with support for up to eight participants per game. The action is centred around customisable android athletes who sprint, flip, climb, and fight their way through each match.
In Box-Ball, players compete in hybrid matches combining elements of various ball sports. Stockpile challenges teams to steal and secure the most items. Meanwhile, Sumo Survival sees players battling to stay on shrinking platforms above hazardous terrain. Outside the arena, players can relax in a sandbox-style social hub to interact, play mini-games, and upgrade their robotic avatars.
