Developer sunset visitor 斜陽過客 and indie publisher Fellow Traveller have announced that their narrative-driven sci-fi game 1000xRESIST has received a Peabody Award. This recognition comes just days ahead of the game’s one-year anniversary on 9 May 2025, with the title available on the Nintendo Switch and PC.
To mark the occasion, sunset visitor 斜陽過客 has outlined several initiatives and updates for both fans and potential upcoming fans:
The Feel Good Game Bundle: Now available, this collaboration with developer Wrong Organ offers players the opportunity to purchase Mouthwashing and 1000xRESIST together with a 10% discount on both titles.
Piano Book Vol. 2 DLC: A new downloadable content pack featuring a print-ready PDF of piano sheet music from the game’s soundtrack is now available.
New Language Support: Future updates will introduce French, Korean, and Brazilian Portuguese localisation to broaden the game’s accessibility, with release dates to be confirmed.
Anniversary Stream: A pre-recorded anniversary stream will be hosted on the 1000xRESIST Steam page, reflecting on the game’s development and reception over the past year.
In addition to the Peabody Award, 1000xRESIST has also been nominated for both Hugo and Nebula Awards—recognitions typically associated with excellence in science fiction and fantasy writing. The developer also confirmed that the game has sold over 100,000 units across all platforms as it approaches its anniversary milestone.
More around the game is set to be shared on 15 May 2025, with additional coverage during the Six One Indie Showcase on 22 May.
