Nintendo has announced Donkey Kong Bananza, a new 3D platforming action-adventure title arriving exclusively on the Nintendo Switch 2 from 17 July 2025.
The game features Donkey Kong in a new adventure where players can crash through environments, climb terrain, and use parts of the landscape to swing and throw in a physics-driven world. Destruction plays a central role in progression, with new areas becoming accessible as players punch through obstacles and alter the environment.
Promising a mix of chaotic exploration and classic platforming, Donkey Kong Bananza is being positioned as a fresh addition to the long-running series. It will launch just over a month after the release of the Nintendo Switch 2.
