A second trailer has been released by Pony Canyon for the upcoming anime The Mononoke Lecture Logs of Chuzenji-sensei: He Just Solves All the Mysteries, which is scheduled to premiere on 8 April 2025. The trailer offers a deeper look into the series’ supernatural mystery elements, centering on unusual occurrences and eerie cases in post-war Japan. The trailer also features the first voice appearances of several key characters, including Soichiro Enokizu (voiced by Mitsuru Miyamoto), Atsuko Chuzenji (Ai Furihata), and Chizuko Chuzenji (Ai Kayano), offering fans a fuller introduction to the ensemble cast.
The anime follows high school student Kanna Kusakabe as she encounters increasingly bizarre paranormal events, such as an incident involving a ghost in the school library. She seeks the guidance of her new Japanese language teacher, Akihiko Chuzenji, who is known for his unshakable rationality and memorable declaration: “There’s nothing mysterious in this world”.
Set in Tokyo in 1948, the series sets out to combine school life elements with supernatural and mystery themes. It presents the early days of characters from the Kyogokudo universe, prior to the establishment of the exorcist’s used bookstore featured in earlier works.
