During a special panel at SXSW, Kojima Productions’ Death Stranding 2: On the Beach was officially confirmed for release on 26 June 2025. The announcement was made in the presence of director Hideo Kojima, alongside cast members Norman Reedus, Troy Baker, and musician Woodkid. Pre-orders for the game will open on Monday, 17 March at 10:00 am local time.
Serving as the sequel to Death Stranding, the upcoming title is a post-apocalyptic open-world adventure developed by Kojima Productions. Norman Reedus reprises his role as Sam Porter Bridges, with Elle Fanning and Léa Seydoux joining the cast as Tomorrow and Fragile, respectively.
Sony Interactive Entertainment has confirmed that Death Stranding 2: On the Beach will be available in three editions: Standard, Digital Deluxe, and Collector’s Edition. The Digital Deluxe and Collector’s Editions will include 48-hour early access and additional in-game content.

Collector’s Edition (AUD $369.95 RRP)
Includes a full digital download, early access, a Collector’s Box, a 15” Magellan Man Statue, a 3” Dollman figurine, art cards, a letter from Hideo Kojima, and multiple in-game items. Pre-order bonuses include additional in-game content such as the Quokka Hologram and Silver Battle Skeleton variations.

Digital Deluxe Edition (AUD $139.95 RRP)
Offers early access along with in-game items like upgraded skeletons and patches. Pre-orders include additional in-game cosmetics and items.

Digital Standard Edition (AUD $124.95 RRP)
Provides the base game, with pre-orders receiving a selection of in-game bonuses.
Kojima Productions also announced the Death Stranding 2: On the Beach – Stranding Harmony concert series, which will celebrate the game’s music. The tour will commence on 8 November 2025 at the Sydney Opera House, with additional dates to follow worldwide covering London, Los Angeles, Shanghai, Singapore, Seoul, Berlin, Seatle, Yokohama, Montreal and more.
