2024 was a pretty rough year for mobile games featuring the involvement of Yoko Taro, with both NieR Re[in]carnation and SinoAlice going end of service worldwide. But much like the creative director throwing in surprises a-plenty which each of his games, they are finding means of having their assets live on in various formats. For the former, this takes the form of a comprehensive Japan-exclusive artbook, and the soundtrack being released. The latest CD, titled NieR Re[in]carnation Original Soundtrack: The People and the World is now available to pre-order internationally via the Square Enix Online Store, priced at 21.99 € or local equivalent.
Scheduled for release in May 2025, this album is set to include all 16 in-game BGM tracks featured in the main story arc ‘The People and the World’, composed by Keiichi Okabe, Shotaro Seo, and Kuniyuki Takahashi of the music production studio MONACA.
For those who want to just chill to some NieR Re[in]carnation music, either nostalgically or for the first time, three soundtracks for the game are now available via Streaming – NieR Re[in]carnation Original Soundtrack, NieR Re[in]carnation Original Soundtrack: The Sun and the Moon, and NieR Re[in]carnation Chill Out Arrangement Tracks. This includes via the official Youtube streaming video above on the Square Enix Music Channel.
