Ize Press has confirmed the release date for the English print edition of Villains Are Destined to Die. Originally a Korean web novel by Gwon Gyeoeul which is one of a fair few titles nowadays in the ‘Reincarnated as a Villainess” genre of isekai titles, the story merges the romantic elements with RPG and dating sim elements. The novel is scheduled to begin its release in August 2025, available not only in print but also in ebook and audio formats.
The narrative follows a college student who, after playing the reverse harem game Daughter of the Duke’s Super Love Project, unexpectedly finds herself trapped in the role of Penelope—the game’s villainess on hard mode. Unlike the adored heroine of the story’s easy mode, Penelope is misunderstood and perpetually in peril. To escape this new reality, she must charm one of the game’s love interests and secure a favorable ending; however, with her affection meters already in the negative and a limited selection of dialogue choices, survival is a formidable challenge.
The forthcoming English print edition will be published in five paperback volumes, which together will present the complete collection of the web novel.
