Akatsuki Games has confirmed that TRIBE NINE will launch globally on February 20, 2025 (UTC). The announcement was made during the TRIBE NINE Ver 1.0 Release Preview Showcase – Enter Neo Tokyo, which provided future players with an fresh look at the game’s evolution, gameplay features, and new content following the prior beta tests. During the event, the latest Ver1.0 Release Trailer was revealed, offering a deeper glimpse into the futuristic setting of Neo Tokyo. Set in a futuristic city under the control of a masked figure named Zero, TRIBE NINE follows a group of rebels who resist his rule through “Extreme Games” (XG), an intense form of combat influenced by Extreme Baseball (XB). The game features three-person team battles where each character has unique abilities, an adaptive AI system for allies, and 3D cutscenes during XB matches.
Players will explore Neo Tokyo through a 2D pixel-style overworld, engaging in battles, mini-games, and side quests while uncovering hidden items and secrets. TRIBE NINE will be a free-to-play game with optional in-app purchases.
TRIBE NINE is an original IP game project born from a collaboration between Too Kyo Games and Akatsuki Games. Too Kyo Games, led by Kazutaka Kodaka, is renowned for the Danganronpa series, while Akatsuki Games has a history of producing mobile games based on popular IPs. The TRIBE NINE project aims to extend beyond beyond gaming, including an anime series and a WEBTOON comic series.
