Rebellion has released Sniper Elite: Resistance, the latest instalment in its long-running tactical shooter franchise. The game is now available on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 in both Standard and Deluxe Editions.
Sniper Elite: Resistance introduces Harry Hawker, an agent of the Special Operations Executive (SOE), as the lead protagonist for the first time in the series. The game’s narrative runs parallel to the events of Sniper Elite 5, focusing on covert operations deep within occupied France. Hawker faces the threat of a new Wunderwaffe, a weapon capable of securing victory for the Nazis if left unchecked.
The game retains the franchise’s focus on sniping mechanics, stealth elements, and tactical third-person combat, offering players flexibility in how they approach missions. Features such as optional Kill List targets, multiple infiltration and extraction points, and side missions provide diverse gameplay experiences. Additionally, Sniper Elite: Resistance introduces Propaganda Missions, a new challenge type where players locate Resistance posters within campaign levels to unlock missions that put them in the role of a Resistance fighter.
