Genshin Impact Version 5.4 to Bring Mikawa Flower Festival to Inazuma on 12 February

A little bit earlier than usual given the Chinese New Year festivities about to take place, HoYoverse has announced that Genshin Impact Version 5.4: Moonlight Amidst Dreams will be launching on all servers and platforms starting 12 February 2025. This update revisits the centuries-old Mikawa Flower Festival in Inazuma, offering a range of activities and story experiences. It also debuts the new 5-star Anemo Catalyst character, Yumemizuki Mizuki, and introduces several system optimisations.

The Mikawa Flower Festival, symbolising the connection between humans and youkai, makes a return with new opportunities for reunions, challenges, and rewards. Raiden Shogun is set to attend the event, investigating a mysterious nightmare. Among the activities on offer, players can try the “48-hour game development competition” mini-games, including “A Little Fox’s Daydream”, where a little fox must collect Fried Tofu on its dreamlike journey, and “Bunshin Phantasm”, in which the Muji-Muji Daruma mimics the player’s previous actions to help unlock a bridge within three rounds. The returning “Akitsu Yuugei”, now called “Akitsu Harpastum,” challenges players to dodge bullets and return their harpastum to maintain their vitality. Festival Stamps earned throughout these events can be exchanged for various rewards, including a new 4-star polearm.

In terms of playable characters, players can look forward to one new 5-stars, and two other 5-stars who will be receiving their first rerun banner following their initial debut – in one case more than a year ago. Yumemizuki Mizuki, a clinical psychologist and major shareholder of the Aisa Bathhouse, joins as a 5-star Anemo Catalyst user. Her Dreamdrifter state, triggered by her Elemental Skill, deals AoE Anemo damage and boosts Swirl DMG for nearby party members. Her Elemental Burst summons a Mini Baku that produces Yumemi Style Special Snacks, which either restore HP for characters under 70% health or explode to deal AoE Anemo damage. Additionally, if Mizuki is in the party, using healing food items may restore an extra 30% HP to all characters.

Mizuki’s banner will feature in the first half of Version 5.4 alongside Sigewinne’s rerun, followed by reruns for Furina and Wriothesley. If you don’t manage to get Mizuki then don’t fret, as she will become part of the Standard Wish banner after Version 5.5.

Beyond the main festival, a selection of events, mini-games and opportunties will be made available, including “Travelers’ Tales: Anthology Chapter,” which offers insights into everyday stories of fan-favourite characters, “Reel Ad-Venture” (a film editing challenge), “Invasive Fish Wrangler” (a Co-Op and competitive fishing event), and “Realm of Tempered Valor” (a combat event). Furthermore, several convenience-focused system optimisations are also arriving in this update. Players can set Level-Up Plans for characters in the Training Guide for easier tracking, while filter systems for Characters and Weapons have been simplified. A new Auto Add button in the Weapon Refinement interface will furthr streamline the upgrade process.

and if you want to know the livestream codes to redeem some extra Primogems and other goodies… they are: GISpecialProgram54, Mizuki0212Mizuki and AisaBathhouse.
