Gal Guardians: Servants of the Dark to Launch Digitally on 27 March 2025

PQube has announced specifics around their upcoming release of Gal Guardians: Servants of the Dark, the latest entry in the Gal Guardians series of gothic-inspired 2D action-adventure games set within the Gal*Gun universe. Gal Guardians: Servants of the Dark will be available digitally on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC via Steam from 27 March 2025, with physical editions for the PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch planned for release shortly after.

This instalment expands the series’ setting from a single castle to the entirety of the Demon Realm and evolves its gameplay into a fully-fledged metroidvania experience. Players will control two new characters, Kirika and Masha, each with unique playstyles. By switching between the two, players can explore a variety of areas and confront the dangers that await in their journey.

To coincide with this announcement, PQube has shared a new release date trailer for the game, available to the left.

Promoted features of Gal Guardians: Servants of the Dark, developed by Inti Creates, include:

Adventure through the vast Demon Realm to revive your allies!
The critically acclaimed action of “Gal Guardians: Demon Purge” comes to a fully-realized metroidvania! Countless combos and possibilities await as you explore the Demon Realm with two upgradable characters.

Swap between the sisters in Demonic action gameplay!
Sister maid heroines, Kirika and Masha, bring their own unique gameplay styles. Kirika attacks from a distance with her demon guns, while Masha excels in close combat with a whip.

Mountains of items to collect!
Enemies and treasure chests will earn you consumable items, sub-weapons, and passive enhancements called “Demon Relics”.

Choose the play “Style” that’s right for you!
Servants of the Dark inherits the “Style” system of its predecessor, allowing you choose between “Casual,” “Veteran,” and “Legend”.
