Rico Sasaki, a singer and voice actress, is set to release her latest single Palette Days on 26 February 2025. The track will serve as the opening theme for the upcoming TV anime Welcome to Japan, Ms. Elf!, which is scheduled to air in January 2025.
Welcome to Japan, Ms. Elf! is a romantic comedy blending slice-of-life storytelling with isekai action. The anime follows Kazuhiro Kitase, who can travel to another world in his dreams, and Mariabelle, an elf who finds herself in modern Japan. Together, they explore their respective worlds, enjoying Japan’s landscapes and cuisine while tackling fantastical challenges.
Palette Days sets out to be a heartfelt song reflecting themes of cherished memories and new discoveries. The single will include three tracks, one of which is written and composed by Sasaki herself. A preview of Palette Days can be heard in the latest trailer for the anime, released on 28 November.
The single will be available in two editions. The Artist Edition includes a Blu-ray with the Palette Days music video, a behind-the-scenes documentary, and an original short film, while the Anime Edition features the CD only.
