HIDIVE and Iconic Events Releasing have announced that advance tickets are now available for the 30th anniversary theatrical release of Ninja Scroll. This samurai period drama, originally released in 1993 and directed by Yoshiaki Kawajiri, will be screened in over 600 theatres across the United States and Canada on the 11th, 12th, and 15th of September – less than a month from now.
Especially for theatre audiences, the event will feature an exclusive pre-show experience, including a new interview with Director Yoshiaki Kawajiri, produced specifically for this anniversary release.
Ninja Scroll is part of Iconic Events Releasing’s 2024-2025 season of AX Cinema Nights, a series dedicated to showcasing classic and contemporary anime films in cinemas throughout North America.
The film will be shown in its original Japanese with English subtitles on 11 September, followed by an English-dubbed version on 12 September, with an encore screening offering both versions on 15 September.
Ninja Scroll follows Jubei, a skilled swordsman, who saves a young ninja woman, only to find himself drawn into a deadly conspiracy involving demonic forces. As they delve deeper into the mystery, the pair face relentless enemies determined to silence them.
