All Possible Futures, in collaboration with publisher Devolver Digital, has announced that The Plucky Squire will launch digitally on 17 September 2024 for the PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. PlayStation Plus subscribers will have the opportunity to add the game to their library as part of their monthly subscription.
The Plucky Squire tells the story of Jot and his friends, who are characters in a storybook that discover a three-dimensional world outside their pages. The game’s antagonist, Humgrump, a wizard unhappy with his destined role as a villain, ejects Jot from the book and alters their story in an attempt to change his fate.
As players navigate this action-adventure, they will switch between 2D and 3D worlds, solving puzzles, battling various foes, and completing a range of mini challenges. The game promises a mix of whimsical and surprising gameplay elements, including encounters with an eccentric DJing wizard.
