Fellow Queenslandians, for those who have been on the hunt for the broadest pickings of seats for performances of Wicked at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre’s (QPAC) Lyric Theatre, soon may be your very last change. Producer Crossroads Live Australia has announced that due to “enormous demand”, one final week of the musical will be going on-sale. For those on the pre-sale lists, that time is right now from today. For those waiting for general public sale, these are set to commence from 26 July 2024. With the release of these tickets, all performances up to and including 24 November 2024 are now available to purchase.
Ticketing information for the Brisbane season, as well as the currently ongoing Melbourne season at the Regent Theatre and the final season at Perth’s Crown Theatre, can be found on the musical’s official Australian website.
Commenting on the release of tickets, Australian co-producer John Frost enthused about the demand for tickets in the state:
The demand for tickets for WICKED in Brisbane has been extraordinary. Audiences know that WICKED is one of the most lavish musical productions to have ever played in Australia, the full Broadway experience. With the lavish sets and opulent costumes, it’s a feast for the eye and the ear. If you have never seen WICKED, come and see it for the first time and be spellbound. If you have seen it before, I know you’ll want to come back and be enthralled all over again. Snap up your tickets now Brisbane, before the show sells out.
The 2023-2025 cast of WICKED is headlined by Queenslander Courtney Monsma as Glinda and Sheridan Adams as Elphaba, the roles which will see them take on the iconic roles of Glinda the Good and the Wicked Witch of the West. They will be joined on-stage by a diverse lead cast including Robyn Nevin as Madame Morrible, Todd McKenney as Wizard, Liam Head as Fiyero, Adam Murphy as Dr Dillamond, Shewit Belay as Nessarose, Kurtis Papadinis as Boq, and Zoe Coppinger as the Elphaba Standby. Want some early insights from the cast? For those looking at attending performances in Melbourne, the cast features Simon Burke and Ainsley Melham in the roles of The Wizard and Fiyero respectively.

Long before Dorothy dropped in, two other young women meet in the land of Oz. One born with emerald-green skin is smart, fiery, misunderstood and possessing an extraordinary talent. The other is bubbly, blonde, ambitious and exceptionally popular. They become rivals, then friends…until the world decides to call one “good” and the other one “wicked”.
