During Sony Interactive Entertainment’s dedicated PlayStation State of Play livestream earlier today, viewers were treated to their first look at the gameplay, universe and characters of Concord, supported by two new trailers available below. Concord is being developed by Firewalk Studios, following SIE’s acquisition of them last year.
With Concord set to release on 23 August 2024 simultaneously on the PC and PlayStation 5, you might be wondering if there is perhaps a way of getting into the game a bit earlier? It has been confirmed that a Closed Beta is scheduled for July, with more information to be made available at a later date.
Concord is a live-service game. It boasts a 5v5 ‘character driven’, first-person multiplayer shooter experience set in the Concord galaxy. At launch, Concord will have a roster of 16 distinct Freegunners to learn and master, and the Northstar crew will grow over time through regular, free post-launch updates that introduce new playable Freegunners, maps, modes, cinematic vignettes, and more.
