ATLUS recently hosted a special developer livestream regarding their new-IP, a full-scale fantasy RPG named Metaphor: ReFantazio. During this livestream, Studio Zero Director Katsura Hashino (Persona 3, 4 and 5, Shin Megami Tensei III – Nocturne) shared their first hands-on gameplay – showcasing various segments of the game, shared new details and more.
The narrated journey also brought players through a selection of the game’s many locales – from grand cities to underground waterways. It also showcases the Gauntlet Runner, a vehicle that doubles as the player’s home base and headquarters.
But one of the biggest announcements of the stream was that Metaphor: ReFantazio isn’t too far away from its global launch. It was confirmed that the game will be launching on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S starting 11 October 2024.
