CD Projekt RED has this morning announced that they will be offering a free trial of their 2020-released / 2023-updated open-world sci-fi action game Cyberpunk 2077 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S for a limited time, giving players the chance to sample how Night City ultimately turned up, and potentially encourage players to give the full game a try now the game’s historical issues have largely been ironed out.
The free trial will be available to download via the PlayStation Store and Xbox Marketplace, with the trial period running from 28 March 2024 at 8.00am PDT until 31 March 2024 at 11.59pm PDT. The trial will grant five hours of unrestricted gameplay, and covers the base game, with all incorporated updates.
For players who choose to purchase Cyberpunk 2077 following the trial, their progress during the free period will be transferred to the full game, ensuring a seamless continuation of their adventure into the cyberpunk future.
