Insomniac Games, Marvel Games and Sony Interactive Entertainment are set to be rolling out a new update for their 2023 PlayStation 5 exclusive, open-world action game, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, on Thursday 7 March 2024. This update, set to be Version 1.002, is set to introduce a few new quality of live improvements to the game, enhancing the overall gaming experience for some in their audience.
The update will include the addition of New Game+, allowing players to restart the game with previously earned suits, skills, and gear. It will also introduce a Mission Replay feature, giving players the opportunity to revisit their favourite missions. Another notable addition is the ability to change the time of day, and coinciding with that feature, improvements to Photo Mode.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will also expand its accessibility options. New features such as Audio Descriptions, Screen Reader, Cinematic Captions, and High Contrast Outlines aim to make the game more inclusive.
Additionally, the update will introduce new suit styles for several of Peter’s Symbiote Story Suits, available through New Game+. And also on the costume front, Marvel’s Hellfire Gala suits for both Peter and Miles will be added to the game at no extra cost. Peter’s suit is based on the design by Russell Dauterman, while Miles will wear a suit inspired by Bernard Chang’s Hellfire Gala variant cover for Miles Morales: Spider-Man #8.
