Square Enix Share Opening Movie for Star Ocean The Second Story R

Something a bit different from Star Ocean games released before and after its time, the remake of tri-Ace's 1998 sci-fi RPG Star Ocean 2, Star Ocean: The Second Story R, will have its own opening sequence. First shared with attendees at ANIME Impulse OC, the anime-style opening showcases the dual playable protagonists Claude and Rena, alongside their allies as they set out for their own adventure in the great ocean of stars. This opening was produced by YoStar Pictures, featuring the song 'stella' written by SUREN, a Japanese duo unit consisting of vocalist Sui and keyboardist/arranger Ren Star Ocean: The Second Story R is set to launch on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 starting 2 November 2023.
